
Mahindra is proceeding to add new generations of XUV500. As for the XUV500, the launch of its latest formation is reportedly scheduled to arrive towards the last few months. The current generation of Mahindra XUV500 will be outfitted with BS-6 engines till the new model is ready.
The BS-6 Mahindra XUV500 will move on the same 2.2 Litre diesel engine, that generates 155 BHP and 360 Nm of peak torque. The latest variant will accept a new 2.0 Litre diesel engine as well, which will give around 185 BHP and 400 Nm of peak torque (expected figures).
BS-6 Mahindra XUV500 will be possible in four variants – W5, W7, W9, and W11. It will only get with a 6-speed standard gearbox for the time being. The new generation will support a new automatic gearbox. So, you can purchase the XUV500 until April 2020 or if the stocks are going over before the deadline.
The BS-6 XUV500 is hopeful to be launched in the coming weeks. There will be never styling changes or any additions to the features list. Simply the engine incline and a notable price hike will come with the BS-6 model. Also, it will drop out on its AWD variant and come only with FWD contour.
The prices of XUV500 now begin from Rs 12.31 Lakhs and go up till Rs 17.41 Lakhs (W11 Manual) (ex-showroom). It battles with the likes of Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass and MG Hector. Quickly, there will be more models to accompany this segment.
